Flying Eye Hospital came to Chittagong উড়ন্ত চক্ষু হাসপাতাল এলো চট্টগ্রামে

 

Flying eye hospital 'Orbis' has come to Bangladesh again to provide training on medical services.

Orbis landed at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong around 12:20 PM on Thursday (November 14).

চিকিৎসা সেবা বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ দিতে আবারও বাংলাদেশে এসেছে উড়ন্ত চক্ষু হাসপাতাল ‘অরবিস’।

বৃহস্পতিবার (১৪ নভেম্বর) দুপুর ১২টার ২০ মিনিটের দিকে চট্টগ্রামের শাহ আমানত আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে অবতরণ করে অরবিস।

 With this, the flying eye hospital on an aircraft came toBangladesh for the eleventh time and to Chittagong for the fifth time.

এ নিয়ে একাদশতম বারের মতো বাংলাদেশে এবং পঞ্চমবারের মতো চট্টগ্রামে এলো উড়োজাহাজে বসানো উড়ন্ত চক্ষু হাসপাতালটি।

 This time from November 18 to November 28, Orbis clinical staff and volunteer faculty will train Bangladeshi ophthalmologists and other professionals in the eye sector. There will be direct training in surgery and patient care. There will also be simulation training and ophthalmology workshops.

এবার ১৮ নভেম্বর থেকে ২৮ নভেম্বর বাংলাদেশের চক্ষু চিকিৎসক ও চক্ষু খাতের অন্যান্য পেশাজীবীদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেবেন অরবিসের ক্লিনিক্যাল স্টাফ এবং স্বেচ্ছাসেবক ফ্যাকাল্টিরা। সেখানে সরাসরি অস্ত্রোপচার এবং রোগীদের যত্ন বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে। সিমুলেশন প্রশিক্ষণ এবং চক্ষু সংক্রান্ত কর্মশালাও হবে।

 The training program will be conducted at the Flying Eye Hospital at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport and Orbis' partner hospital - Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex (CEITC).

 The first training program of Orbis in Bangladesh was held in 1985 and the last in 2017.

Orbis International is an international non-profit organization that operates vision-care programs in more than two hundred countries and territories around the world.

বাংলাদেশে ‘অরবিস’র প্রথম প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি হয়েছিল ১৯৮৫ সালে এবং সর্বশেষটি ২০১৭ সালে।

 The aim of this year's training program of Orbis in Bangladesh is to improve the quality of eye care and build the skills of local eye care professionals and raise awareness about eye health.

বাংলাদেশে অরবিসের এবারের প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচির লক্ষ্য– চোখের যত্নের মান বাড়াতে স্থানীয় চক্ষুসেবা পেশাজীবীদের দক্ষতা গড়ে তোলা এবং চোখের স্বাস্থ্য সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বাড়ানো।

 This year's program is being held at the invitation of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, sponsored by Alcon Foundation and FedEx and supported by Alcon Cares, Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh (OSB), Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) and National Eye Care (NEC) of the government.

This year's program is being held with the support of National Eye Care (NEC).

Orbis International Country Director Dr. Munir Ahmed said, “We are proud to bring flying eye hospital again in Bangladesh. Our long-term partnership is playing an important role in expanding quality eye care in Bangladesh.”

ন্যাশনাল আই কেয়ারের (এনইসি) সহায়তায় এবারের কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে।

অরবিস ইন্টারন্যাশনালের কান্ট্রি ডিরেক্টর ডা. মুনির আহমেদ বলেন, “বাংলাদেশে আবার উড়ন্ত চক্ষু হাসপাতাল আনতে পেরে আমরা গর্বিত। আমাদের দীর্ঘমেয়াদী অংশীদারত্ব বাংলাদেশে মানসম্পন্ন চক্ষু সেবার প্রসারে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছে।”

 অরবিসকে স্বাগত জানাতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন শাহ আমানত আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরের পরিচালক গ্রুপ ক্যাপ্টেন শেখ আবদুল্লাহ আলমগীর এবং চিটাগাং আই ইনফার্মারি অ্যান্ড ট্রেনিং কমপ্লেক্সের (সিইআইটিসি) অধ্যাপক ডা. মুনিরুজ্জামান ওসমানী।

 The training program will focus on subjects likecataract, oculoplastic, surgical retina, pediatric glaucoma and cornea as wellas anesthesiology, nursing and biomedical engineering, the notification said.

প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচিতে চোখের ছানি, অকুলোপ্লাস্টিক, সার্জিক্যাল রেটিনা, শিশু গ্লুকোমা ও কর্নিয়ার পাশাপাশি অ্যানেস্থেসিওলজি, নার্সিং ও বায়োমেডিকেল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ের মত বিষয়ে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হবে বলে বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়।
