চট্টগ্রামের রাউজানে একদল মুখোশধারীর গুলিতে ১২ থেকে ১৫ জন গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছেন। এর মধ্যে ১১ জনকে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে। বাকিরা বিভিন্ন বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। রাউজান থানা–পুলিশ এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছে।

12 to 15 people were shot dead by a group of masked men in Raujan, Chittagong. 11 of them have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The rest are undergoing treatment in various private hospitals. Raujan Police confirmed this information.

 

রাউজান উপজেলার নোয়াপাড়া ইউনিয়নের নিরামিশপাড়া গ্রামের আসদ আলী মাতব্বরপাড়া মসজিদ এলাকায় বৃহস্পতিবার রাত সাড়ে ১০টার দিকে এ গোলাগুলির ঘটনা ঘটে।

The shootings took place at Asad Ali Matbarpara mosque area of ​​Niramishpara village of Noapara union of Raujan upazila around 10:30 pm on Thursday.

 

চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়া গুলিবিদ্ধ ব্যক্তিরা হলেন নিরামিশপাড়া গ্রামের মো. জসিম উদ্দিন (৫০), মো. মহিউদ্দিন (৩৮), জানে আলম (৪৪) ও তাঁর ভাই মো. সাইফুদ্দিন (৩১), মো. লাভলু (২৮), নুরুদ্দিন (২৮) ও তাঁর ভাই মো. মানিক (৩৬), মো. মাসুদ (৩৫), আলাউদ্দিন (৪০), মো. হুমায়ুন (৪৫) ও নুরুল আবসার (৫৫)।

Chittagong Medical College Hospital admitted shot injured people are Niramishpara village Md. Jasim Uddin (50), Md. Mohiuddin (38), Jane Alam (44) and his brother Md. Saifuddin (31), Md. Lovelu (28), Nuruddin (28) and his brother. Manik (36), Md. Masud (35), Alauddin (40), Md. Humayun (45) and Nurul Absar (55).

 

বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়া গুলিবিদ্ধ ব্যক্তিদের নাম–পরিচয় পাওয়া যায়নি।

The names of the injured persons who were admitted to private hospitals were not available.

 

প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে জানা গেছে, বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ৯টার দিকে আসদ আলী মাতব্বরপাড়া মসজিদ এলাকায় ২০–২৫ জনের একদল মুখোশধারী মো. মহিউদ্দিনকে মারধর করে ও কুপিয়ে আহত করে। পরে এলাকার কিছু লোক এ ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ করতে এলে মুখোশধারীরা তাঁদের লক্ষ করে এলোপাথাড়ি গুলি ছোড়ে। এ সময় ১২ থেকে ১৫ জন গুলিবিদ্ধ হন।

Talking to witnesses, it is known that a group of 20-25 people wearing masks in Asad Ali Matbarpara mosque area around 9 o'clock on Thursday night. Mohiuddin was beaten and cut and injured. Later, when some people of the area came to protest the incident, the masked men fired indiscriminately at them. At this time, 12 to 15 people were shot.

 

স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ী মুহাম্মদ ইলিয়াস প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, তাঁর ভাই জসিম উদ্দিন সৌদি আরব প্রবাসী। কিছুদিন আগে দেশে এসেছেন। গোলাগুলির মধ্যে পড়ে তাঁর ভাইও গুলিবিদ্ধ হন। তিনি তাঁকে নিয়ে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে আছেন।

Local businessman Muhammad Ilyas told Prothom Alo that his brother Jasim Uddin is an expatriate from Saudi Arabia. He came to the country a few days ago. His brother was also shot in the crossfire. He is in Chittagong Medical College Hospital with him.

 

থানা পুলিশ সূত্র জানায়, বিএনপির দুই পক্ষের গোলাগুলিতে কয়েকজন সাধারণ মানুষ গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছেন। রাউজানের নোয়াপাড়ায় বিএনপির দুই পক্ষের আধিপত্য বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে প্রায়ই হামলা–সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটছে। গোলাগুলির ঘটনাও তারই অংশ।

According to police sources, some common people were shot in the firing from both sides of BNP. Attacks and clashes are often happening in Noapara of Raujan due to the expansion of dominance of the two sides of BNP. The incident of shootings is also part of it.

 

রাউজান থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মীর মাহাবুবুর রহমান প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, বিএনপির একটি পক্ষের ২০ থেকে ২৫ জন বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে প্রতিপক্ষ নোয়াপাড়া ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান খায়েজ আহমদের ছেলে কামাল উদ্দিনকে আক্রমণ করতে যায়। এলাকাবাসী বাধা দিলে তারা এলোপাতাড়ি গুলি ছোড়ে। এতে ১২ থেকে ১৫ জন গুলিবিদ্ধ হন। এর আগেও কামাল উদ্দিনের ওপর একাধিকবার হামলা হয়েছিল।

Raujan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Mahabubur Rahman told Prothom Alo that 20 to 25 people from one side of BNP went to attack Kamal Uddin, son of former chairman of Noapara Union Parishad, Khayez Ahmad on Thursday night. When the locals stopped them, they opened fire. 12 to 15 people were shot. Earlier too, Kamal Uddin was attacked several times.
